![]() ![]() Our first breakfast was eggs with tasty breads. We enjoyed sitting there and talking with the Innkeeper Diana. There is a couch and several comfortable chairs. There is also a living room at the front of the building, where we were welcome to watch television or sit and read. We had a big claw footed tub that we soaked in daily. Our room was on the second floor on the road side. We stayed three nights to attend both a Saturday open house and Monday classes. ![]() Much better than staying all the way in Waterville. It is a great way to visit the College as it is close enough to walk. We stayed at the Copper Heron when my daughter went to visit Unity College. If you are amongst the more noise sensitive, choose the room in the back overlooking the garden.… Other TripAdvisors have been put off by how this feature allow for the flow of noise as well as air. A word of information: the B&B house is old enough to have air return vents in the floors. Compared to the characterless chain hotel alternatives, the Copper Heron is a fine alternative. The CH's owner/hostess, Diana, is an amiable woman who is a delight to chat with over the delicious breakfasts she produces she's a wealth of local history (and Pottersville ain't got nothing on Unity!) and more. Those used to the finest accommodations may be put off a bit by the CH's 'sidewalk appeal': it's on the main street of Unity with all of the regular traffic that entails and appears a bit worn around the edges. Anyone who frequents bed and breakfasts knows that there are three key components: the room, the breakfast and the hostess. I'm told that the Copper Heron has many return visitors and I believe it.
